For our Speaker Series event, Linda Milne will be presenting Disaster Preparedness for Aging Adults. The program is designed to save senior lives by presenting appropriate preparedness for on foot evacuation, auto evacuation, sheltering in place, S.A.F.E., and neighborhood safety.
Linda Milne is a resident of Millcreek. She is a former chair of a 5-County Region 2 of Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOARD); has served on the Millcreek township Council and the Canyon Rim Citizens Association. Though long retired, Linda serves as a committee chair for several business councils, producing preparedness programs in partnership with our state emergency professionals. Linda is the recipient of many volunteer and community service awards. Currently, and primarily Linda is dedicating her senior years to informing Utah’s aging adults about appropriate disaster preparedness.
